I started to develop interest in bicycles for almost 4 months. Could someone tell me where to start? I certainly prefer quality over value. I’m willing to spend time to build it and help others with my experience.

You should be looking at complete bikes. To build a bike from parts will cost over twice as much as buying a complete bike. Set yourself an overall budget, good bikes can get up into the thousands of dollars in price. Make the rounds of the shops in your area to see what they have on offer. Don’t fixate on brands, quality varies more by price point than by brand name. If you want your bike to last, maintenance is unavoidable. All the mechanical components of a bike are exposed, if you don’t work at keeping then clean and lubricated, they will soon fail no matter how expensive.
