Can I ride a motorcycle in Wisconsion in the winter?
I am a foreigner, and I am planning to study in language center of Wisconsin this year. I don’t understand the real traffic condition that is in Wisconsin.
Q1:
Is that a mission impossible to ride a motorcycle from Madison to Milwaukee every day?
(Special is I would prefer a sport bike to do this)
Q2:
How is the distance and the price of gasoline? Will it cost me a lot of budget?

1) A typical winter in the northern USA includes several feet (Yes, feet) of snowfall over the winter, and nighttime temperatures as low as thirty degrees BELOW ZERO (F). It is not unusual to see 4-6 inches of snow fall from one storm. This is not sportbike territory, even on a good day. Most motorcycle owners in Wisconsin put their bikes into winter storage after Thanksgiving, and don’t bring them out again until April or May.
If you’re planning to spend time in Wisconsin this winter, forget riding a motorcycle. Buy a small front-wheel drive car with a good heater and fit it with snow tires on all four wheels.
2) The good news is that, compared to Europe, gasoline is still inexpensive… Plan on paying $3.50 to $4.00 per gallon of regular grade unleaded gasoline. Prices may go higher in the summer months, but still not as high as the UK or other European countries.
