beginning biking

Mountain biking is a fun sport, but also dangerous. However, participants can lesson their chances of injury by taking some precautions. First, of course, should have the necessary skills before even getting on the mountain.

Almost anyone can rent a bike and ride around your neighborhood, go across flat countryside or ride up and down hills, but when it comes to mountain bike, the rider must have certain skills before taking an opportunity.

Depending on how long you have ridden your bike, chances are you have these skills – we're going to run through them.

1) Feel the pedals

Are you used to keep our feet on the pedals at all times? Absolutely. But when you're mountain biking (or doing tricks), are the feet of the pedals … and must be able to find it again without hesitation.

So practice taking your feet off the pedals and replacing them … that instill muscle memory so your feet always know where the pedals should be at any given time.

2) Change of gears
If you live in a flat area, you may not do much the gearshift. This will change when you get on the slopes, so find a hill near his home and practice change as it moves both up and down. Also, if you tire bike just a hill of moderate size, you'll want do some hill sprints after it for a couple of weeks before you decide to take on a mountain.

3) Stand on your own
Most people sit on their bikes while they ride, but again, on a mountain bike that does not have that luxury. Be out of his seat most of the time. So practice coastal walk along, and after foot pedal …. and not do it for just a few yards and then stops.

4) Before you go full speed down
Mountain biking is a dangerous sport and should always wear a helmet, knee pads and elbow pads. And when you're practicing going over curbs – the same should apply.

Want to practice going up and over restrictions to get the feel of it on a hill. You know your own bike better – how high can be an obstacle before you can not go over it with your bike? Probably about six inches.

Going off a curb is another thing. To the extent that there good balance and strong hands to keep right front tire, you can get a little "air" before hitting the ground again – but I need to know landing field is to ensure that no obstacles that stand in his way. So always ride a downhill relatively slow the first time, before going to full out.

But back to practice. Check out the sidewalks in your neighborhood, and – when using your safety equipment and ensure that no traffic in the area – the practice of passing on them at different speeds. If all constraints are of the same height, you will have to increase their use of artificial objects, such as ramps. However … who has learned to crawl before you can walk, and by also become very comfortable on short curves before attempting to increase the height and air her jumps, and always wear your safety gear while doing it.

No need to be impatient. Work on your skills first, then deal to a mountain bike, tennis beginners or two to hone their skills further. Once you have the skills, mountain biking will be a breeze!
