There is plenty of history and information there regarding the history and origins of mountain biking, with some being recognized and that depends on who has the best public relations firm.

Some say that mountain biking began with the "Buffalo Soldiers" was a change in the infantry that custom-century bicycles to carry gear over the rough and difficult terrain.
