Biking Cambodia
Do you know someone or would you describe yourself as to coordinate a bike race around Siem Reap, Cambodia?
We are an NGO based in Cambodia looking for an expatriate in the country over time and that can help develop and coordinate funding for a bicycle race in December. Most of the effort will take place over the coming months and December. You can keep 5% of all development funds. Answer this question if you want more details.

Biking Cambodia

When the backpack in Southeast Asia
Thailand
Thailand is generally the best place to start for the first time in independent travel. It is very easy to move and there are always lots of other backpackers about to chat and pass time.
Thailand is a mixture of the northern forest with walking and some of the world's most beautiful beaches in the south.
Bangkok is a city animated of canals and rivers. The horizon is one of the skyscrapers, shopping malls and international hotel chains, but on the banks of the canal and alleys of the city beside the traditional Thai life is clearly visible. The business center of the city is easy to navigate using the underground cable car, but the main tourist areas along the road are less well supplied and Koh San Tuk Tuks are the main mode of transportation. Negotiate with your Hard tuk tuk – a taxi is always cheaper and has the advantage of air conditioning, but make sure you agree that you are charged according to the meter instead of accepting a fixed price. Taxis only take it at an agreed price, after 15 hours from this point of peak and are likely to spend hours in traffic with you!
His main point of appeal is the way to San Koh that's where all the hostels and guest houses are found. This is a long street where there is a market every evening and many bars and restaurants to choose up to a McDonald's and Burger King for those who want some else in the house. For the best food when you go to street vendors. You will receive some of the best Pad Thai you've ever eaten for about 20 baht.
Southern Isles
Most people come to Thailand for beaches and diving. The main islands in the South are:
Koh Tao
A backpacker island where everyone comes to diving and especially to learn to dive. There are some beautiful beaches here and also a good nightlife.
Koh Pan Gan
This is part of the island of Thailand, where the famous Full Moon Party is held every month. If you do not hear a party on a wild beach that attracts at least 10,000 people each month to get that shit as much as possible. Get it here a few days peak months, if you want to find a good home.
Koh Samui and Phuket
These islands are full of tourists on holiday in his travel package annual two weeks in the sun. Me strongly suggest avoiding these two islands.
Koh Phi Phi
This island has been severely damaged by the tsunami and we have seen the before and after me the most remarkable is the speed should return to their feet. There is a primary area / city where there is still world, but is not yet big enough for everyone to be on top of another. The beach is like a postcard or you can take a boat to the lagoon where Leon Dicapro movie "The Beach" was filmed and cold that day.
Vietnam
Vietnam has devastated by war, but now is a great place to visit. I suggest starting your journey from Hanoi and work your way down the country.
Hanoi
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and is an excellent introduction to the Vietnamese way of life. The city is always lively and carful when crossing the road Wheels do not stop.
The center is on Hoan Kiem Lake is just the old town which is the main area of budget hostels and guest houses. Hanoi is a great place to go for a walk alone. Each street has its own trade and stores can not sell the products to do with trade as the streets do not finish up having to sell shoes or kitchen utensils. It is rare to see, but the way they do.
If you're tired and hot when walking you can always stop for a few Bia Hoi. You'll see the entire city a lot of people sitting on small plastic chairs in the street, this is where they sell the BIA Hoi. This is officially the cheapest beer in the world in the project. A glass should cost you about 10p/20 Hundred.
Ha Long Bay
It is north of Hanoi and is available in all travel agencies in the city, either as an overnight trip. This a must have for anyone in the region as a UNESCO heritage site and for good reason.
The bay is approximately 2,000 limestone islands with caves to explore and some lakes in a canoe in. As you leave the bay in a junk where you have your own room, dinner and breakfast.
Hoi
Hoi An is situated on the coast and made a pretty decent track. It is also ideal for clothes perfectly adapted. There are too many to mention here the tailoring of the road leading more or less compatible. You can get anything here, literally, everything must do is take a picture of the item you want and who will do it for you. A good suit costs about $ 50 – $ 100.
Nha Trang
It is a beach hotel just over half the country. This city is very developed, with a long beach all goes well along. Not much to do here, but it is culturally a good place to relax after more than a few bus tours before arriving here. If you choose to relax on the beach all day long you need to spend it is to go to the bathroom, because there are so many vendors selling any What you need books, drinking at a barbecue of fresh fish. The nightlife is great here with a couple of main place to go. This is why not Bar and Sailing Club is located on the beach but more expensive for that.
Ho Chi Min (Saigon)
Vietnam This is the one you see in movies. Streets crowded with bicycles so much, difficult breathing vapors and general chaos. It suffices here to visit some museums that have been mainly do with the war, but they are worth every visit and even the strongest man in tears contain images of suffering.
Hence take a trip to Cu Chi tunnels in the north has been a series of small tunnels used to fight against the South. You can download some of these tunnels, but beware, they are very small and it is better not to do it on a hangover I did. So here, you can fire an arsenal of automatic weapons and guns, which is not as cheap as you pay per bale.
Cambodia
Cambodia has had a very unpleasant past with its dictator Pol Pot, but is recovering perhaps not as fast as its neighbors, "but to get there. Cambodia surrounded by Vietnam, Thailand and Laos and the Mekong River through Laos country.
Phnom Penh
This is a typical city of Asia in the Capitol, not much do, but getting there is a great experience if you come from Vietnam. From Saigon, you can take a boat to take you two days to get here, but you see some of the real Vietnam and Cambodia on the road.
The two main places to visit in and around Phnom Penh are the concentration camps where about 200,000 people were executed during 1975-1979, when the reign of the Khmer Rouge. You can see millions of bones and skulls of thousands have been found in the wells.
You can also consult the S-21 that used to be a high school that was converted into a prison during the Khmer Rouge as well, where nearly 20,000 people imprisoned and repeatedly tortured and killed for it.
Two to three daily show a film that goes into detail what happened to the prison interviews with survivors and prison guards.
Sihanoukville
It is a resort of 3-4 hours by bus outside of Phnom Penh and has a pretty decent beach all the time has hostels / pensions, restaurants and bars where you can discuss with new friends and enjoy a cold beer. You can dive here, but I do not waste your money and visibility is very poor and do not have many reefs marine life.
Siem Reap / Angkor Wat
Siem Reap is the nearest town from the temples of Angkor Wat. The town itself has little to offer beyond a market in the city center where you can get new clothes and souvenirs. Every night, most people will aptly named Bar Street to meet and go out with friends.
The temples of Angkor is quite spectacular and well worth a visit. You get a choice one day or three days pass. We recommend going the sunrise over Angkor Wat it is rather surprising, but it can get very busy.
There are many temples, see more here in perfect condition. Although my favorite is the one that was supported by the jungle and most are in ruins.
You can hire a tuk tuk driver for everyone This is recommended if you make a day trip or simply rent a bike and go into the rhythm you have.
Laos
Lao is a landlocked nation borders of Burma, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Vietnam. Laos has been involved in the Vietnam War because of its proximity to the country and it is one of the most underdeveloped countries in the region.
Vang Vieng
The city without memory out. This place is just a great drunken haze. You get an inner tube and tractor down a river and stopping at bars along the road and get vaccinated free of Lao Lao whiskey and then drink more whiskey buckets Lao Lao and coke until 6:00, then when you think you have enough to go to an island bar which is right (smile is the best) to middnight when the curfew comes in. I love this place: D
Try rope swings in each bar. The first bar has the most bars can claim otherwise.
Luang Prabang
Very beautiful city and is very quiet compared to Vang Vieng. The night market always seems to work with a lot of candy. Also, if you go here you go bowling one night after 23 hours – you'll see what I mean.
