Biking Long Island

I have lived in Central Florida for over 20 years and one of my favorite cities in the state is Daytona Beach. When I think of Daytona Beach several things come to mind. When I was younger I came for spring break a couple of years, it was a blast. I remember hanging at the beach during the day, getting "the perfect tan 'and then back to the room to cool off, to dinner and then clubbing all night. I really enjoyed meeting all the people all over the country there at the party and have a good time.
One of my favorite things about being on the beach at Daytona is the fact that you can drive in some of the beaches there, you have to be respectful of the dunes, so they have where you can and can not drive, clearly marked. They also have beach patrols in the event of an emergency so do not be afraid to tan it's not like you can run over form, all the cars. Every year they have run for charity and good causes on the beach that I know of around the holidays Easter each year is appropriately called Race Easter Beach. It runs along the Main Street Pier, which is a great place to spend the day.
Main Street Pier is reminiscent of the pier at Coney Island style, all our friends in the northeast can be seen. They have several restaurants with food included "by hot dogs, slice of pizza, corn dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, you know, all the junk food be associated with a good time. Midway have all games and prizes you'd imagine, plus some hair increases thrill rides such as the big swing which rises a hundred feet and then you ceases to oscillate up and out, is quite breath taking. You can also fish from the pier making it a family day. Up at the other end of the street is a different kind of fun to be had.
Many of the bars in Daytona Beach are on the fringe of the main street. Two of the draws to Daytona Beach are the events annual Bike Week, usually held in February or March and Biketoberfest, as might be guessed in October. Bikers from around the country and world converge on Daytona Beach during few days of booze, bikes and babes. Hogs Breath, Dirty Harry, Froggy and lounge Boot Hill, the Bank and Blues club, these are just some of the names you'll see. If you go to any of these places during Bike Week or Biktoberfest find a match in progress, Wet T-shirt contests, live music, special beverage, food, fun and some great bikes, its well worth the trip.
During these events also have something else in Dayton Beach is known by – the races. They have a lot of races and special events to enjoy and there are usually exchanged and many sellers meet in the parking lot So even if you will not stop at the stadium and see the show itself. Dayton Speed Week is the start of the NASCAR season, and there are several races and events to enjoy and, as in bicycle Week of dealers and parts vendors out to make a deal.
There is much to do throughout the year in Daytona Beach I think that's why I called a of my favorite cities in this great state, oh, and on his way out of town if it's the weekend and head to I-95 go under the step and more to the left is a large little flea market called Daytona Flea and Farmers Market. It is actually rather a large flea market and not by the U.S. voted weekend of the 5 major markets the country a bad way to spend a few hours.
Drive on the beaches, hit the clubs, get a tan and make your friends jealous of your vacation in Daytona Beach. If you’re thinking about what to do in Florida, you’ll find the area one of the best values anywhere.
