I live in Fairfax County, VA so I prefer not travel more than 50 miles

Good places to live in Alexandria, Virginia?

I need some recommendations on safety, fun areas to live Alexandria or a nearby city in northern Virginia. My husband and I enjoy walking, cycling and going to the theater. We do not drink much, not noisy crowds. I am a big fan of boutiques and antiques or at least "window shop." You do not want to pay more than $ 2,400, less obviously, it better. We want to live near the subway. I think the old town is for me, but I can reduce my research too. Any suggestion will be well received I am the planning process for California!

Del Ray is the best. Just outside the old city – is a mixture of bungalows, apartments, townhouses, duplexes and townhouses.
