Is it wrong for me to be scared or dislike black people…?

Me and my friend were at the mall and walking outside inbetween buildings to get to the parking lot and on each opening end 3 black guys on bikes blocked us off and started yelling things at us and throwing things at us. Is it ok for them to get away with calling me a poor little rich long island girl but not ok for me to dislike them?? I know they arent all like that but I can’t control the feelings I have towards them.

well–maybe I should have added this too– Just because I live on LI doesn’t mean I am rich or spoiled. I work for everything I have and because I may have nice things doesn’t make me a “poor little rich girl”. Just like blacks dont want to be judged by the color of their skin, I shouldn’t be judged by the things I own.

Hey I’m from LI too. I see the same thing. I used to go to a mostly black school, and even though we lived in the same sh*tty neighborhood, we were the rich white kids. But you’re right, they aren’t all like that. I can understand how it’s hard to let those feelings go though when you’re constantly being bombarded with the ignorant ones.
