Do you exercise, but fear when?

Ok, so I'm active and I like to exercise. But the thing is, I am hoping after leaving school and finding my own house. Love the exercise, but I feel that I do not know where to go. I live in Chicago and I exercise almost every day in Lake Michigan or somewhere there around the weekend or perhaps a few days after school for one hour, but I feel like being expensive because of gas prices.
