Does riding a stationary bike build muscle?

want to build muscle and get faster for track, lose weight, want to know how many minutes a day, and how many days it will take to see results, right now I am 5’7 and weigh 132 pounds, track starts in March, should I increase each week?
please answer all questions!! important!!!

it would help you build muscle but you really need to do weight training too. or if you dont go to the gym, then you could do lots of squats and even more lunges. lunges definitely build muscle!
to see results you probably want to build your stamina by doing lots of cardio about 3 times a week, or just every other day. and then do weight trainng on the days that you arent doing any cardio. i would say you could increase every week or even every other week. you have plenty of time to get in shape! good luck!!!
