What is the best bike for reconstruction after anterior cruciate ligament? Recumbent or fixed?

I'm scheduled to have surgery ACL next week. I've been very active in the kick-boxing, weight lifting and tennis. Since my injury I had to change my style active life. I have the hope to recover quickly from working with physical therapy after surgery, but I am looking to buy a bike after surgery. I know you can not use it until they get clearance from my doc, but I want to buy now and be prepared. Is it better to use a stationary bike or a stationary bike after surgery in the anterior cruciate ligament? Any advice from personal trainers or anyone who has had ligament reconstruction ACL would be great. In addition, I'll be using my hamstring for the graft. Thanks!

since u is activated before an injury or ur must be well with the regular stationary bike … cycling even produce the same effect …. Recumbent bikes are often used again if u have problems … I'm in PT now for my knee (to retrieve the ROM before surgery) and there are a couple of people who post op (ACL) and have used the two bikes … when I was on my knee for the first PT i once caused him started on the recumbent bike, but after two weeks I was standing on the bike with the hope that this helps
