Indoor Biking

On average, how many calories you burn riding a bike?
I have a stationary bike in my house, however, the pedals are very light and if I were to ride it for one hour, do not worry at all. Am I burning calories?
You are burning some to some action, but not as much as I could. Most machines have a way to increase pedaling resistance, which in turn works harder and burn more calories. To make the work more efficient you should get a simple heart rate monitor and look online to your target range for their age / / weight level of fitness / objective (there are tons of online calculators on google). Getting up and stay in that range. For cycling I like working outside pedal until just below the bottom of my target range, foot and pedal saddle (rear seat) until it is just above the maximum target range heart, then sit back down and the pedal until the bottom of the range again and repeat. This interval workout will do wonders for your ability cardiovascular fitness, while burning calories. Remember, if the weight loss / reducing body fat is your ultimate goal really needs to be in your target range heart for more than 20 minutes. The first 20 are using "standby" energy, work after 20 is making your body break down fat for energy. Regarding the number of calories you burn depends on your weight. I'm at 145 and usually burns: 300-400 in indoor trainer is relatively easy internal coach is 400-500 in 500-700 normal speed mountain bike racing 700-1000 Mountainbike
