Ipod While Biking

Will the Apple store replace my iPod?

I have an 80 GB iPod classic which I bought last summer. I’m still under the original one year warranty. The iPod now has problems with the audio software where even on the lowest volume setting, it sounds like a normal iPod on the highest, and when I put my iPod on the highest setting, it sounds like speakers. It’s strange I know, and I love listening to music loud but this problem completly makes it impossible for me to listen to my iPod safely while I bike since I can’t make the volume anything lower than VERY LOUD. (and NO, it is not an issue with adjusting the music file’s loudness property, or the volume limit setting).

I’m bringing my iPod to the Apple store and I heard that they normally replace your iPod there on the spot, but the issue is that Apple now only sells 120 GB iPod classics.

What will happen when I bring my iPod to the store?

If your still under your warrenty then they will have to help you, either fix that problem, or if they have 80 gig classics give you one, or give you a 120 gig classic.
