Have you cycled from Newcastle to London?

I cycled from Newcastle to London then to Cardiff in the summer. Im after a bike tour good if you have done or anything like that before? That is, Newcastle-York-Leicester, etc?

Fred Whitton ride is good http://www.fredwhittonchallenge.org.uk/ 110 miles in the Lake District did myself as a bet on a mountain bike. took me 10 hours with a bunch of pictures and food stops.
