Montreal Biking Tour

Vinyl records are so much fun to collect. I have about 1500 records in my collection so far. I started collecting when I was on the way (I am a musician tour). We had a show in Montreal Canada and I realized a thrift shop near old … so I took my bike in a bay on the bus and headed to check it out. I saw the only vinyl shop. It Lynerd Skynerd live double album of $ 3. I knew I was going to start charging! Holding register that only reminded me of my childhood and how to buy a record used to be a great experience. I would take home, put the needle, wrap myself in literature and art, and are lost in music. I'm sure miss those days, and I feel a little sad for the generation younger than get music with one mouse click. But anyway … thats technology for ya! I dont really collect vinyl for resale, I love to sit and listen and look. I guess thats just the fan in me!
Thrift stores really are a great source to find vinyl records. I go to places like the success of Good Will, Salvation Army, etc. .. Missions Attic Prices are not very high in these places. You'll see prices ranging from $ 1 to $ 5 per record.
The Garage sales are a great source for vinyl records. There is a little more work involved because not everyone has, but sometimes you get lucky and find someone who is selling an entire collection. Many times you will find that they have a quota for Greenland to the entire collection. For example, I offered a guy who was selling about 30 cases (50 cents appiece) $ 10 dollars for the entire lot, and was pleased to let them go.
Last but not least talk to family members. I have 2 aunts who gave me their collections of any cause that is going to just throw them away! (Oh, the horror! Jeje) Dig around and see if some their relatives are sitting in an old little "jewels" that worked for me.
I hope these tips help. If you find some good records out there, please feel free to share their stories with me! I love music and bands that create it. Happy hunting! About the Author:
