Where can I find some good mountain biking trails in Atlanta/Georgia?

Pete, you don’t say what part of town you are in, but I’ll give you some starting information. The overall best, and probably most popular, system of trails in town, is Blankets Creek in Canton. Take 75 North to 575 to exit 11, Sixes Road. Go left at the top of the ramp and the entry to the trails will be on your left, less than a mile down. Well marked with signs. Crowded on weekends, but not during the week.

There are new more beginner oriented trails a few miles up 140 at the campus of Reinhardt College. If you are on the east side, try Yellow River near Stone Mountain. Closer to town is Big Creek in Roswell,but only a beginner’s trail.
