Full Suspension or Hardtail?

I weight about 130 lbs and I’m about 6ft tall. Im going to be buying a better mountain bike for myself, and I was wondering If I should get a hardtail or a full suspension. I am mainly going to be riding in forest preserves around chicagoland, and I might be riding out west when i go on a trip out there. So yeah… depending on all these factors, which would be better?

Hardtail all the way. More bike for your money. You don’t need full suspension unless you are doing a lot of big downhill or free riding and jumping off big drops (more than 3 or 4 feet). Hardtail is lighter and better for climbing and riding on the road or smoother trails. Even for a trip out west hardtail will be find. I ride hard tail all over the west and have for years.
