Where in Kansas City can I rent a road bike?

I am a runner who is going to do a Duathlon and the only bikes I have owned have been mountain bikes. I’d like to be able to rent a road bike for the event (1 day) or for the week preceding it to get used to it. Any ideas who rents bikes in the KC area?

Considering that I LIVE in Kansas City, I think I have a pretty good idea where it is. I just don’t know where to rent bikes here. Thanks for your helpful answer.

I don’t know of any shops that rent bikes here. Usually bike rental is more prominent in areas where there is a lot of bike tourism. I’d just try calling the stores like BikeSource, Trek Bicycle Store and Bike America. Bike America might have a used bike that they would rent to you for a week.
