Clipless pedals for Mountain Bikes do people use them?

On a downhill path where i take my foot of the pedal alot for corners or anything else.
can you get quick enough to unclip take your foot off the pedal then clip back in and pedal.
Its pedaling up hills i want them for.
I like to do downhilling now and again.
I know ill fall off at least once.

I use them for DH and love them.

They are easy to get in and out of, and if go for Shimano SPDs, you can adjust the tension.

As for putting your foot down in another reply, if you drift, best thing to do is put your foot down for better balance and control…
