I broke my new bike, I need to know what kind of a Crank is best for me?

I bought a cheap bike, And then on a ride the front crank arms stripped and fell off. So the crank set is now stripped.

First, define “cheapo”. Is it a lower-price-point model by a major bike maker or is it a K-Mart special? If it’s a box-store bike, you might as well scrap it and save up for a decent bike. If it’s a 3-piece crank, I’d say stick with a Shimano LX crank – good quality for not too much money.

If you are referring to the cogs on the rear wheel, then it’s the cassette that will need to be replaced. If you swap out your cassette, it’s a wise idea to swap out to a new chain while you’re at it, especially if the previous set was ridden hard. New cassettes will skip on old, worn chains just like new chains skip on old, worn cassettes – best to replace both at once.
