What is the standard weight limit for most 26″ bicycles?
I weigh about 280lbs. I am interested in buying this bike.

The only review I could find that mentioned anything about the weight limit said that it easily accommodated 250lbs.
Long question short. Will my fat ass (280lbs) break a standard 26″ mountain bike from just standard street riding?
No, you won’t break it. However you don’t want to buy that bike! Or any bike with the shock absorbers on the front. With our weight we will always be leaning really far forward. I know because I am 307lbs and it happened to me, and It was a big wast of time. So buy a bike without the shock absorbers. Also you can buy a larger set on bikes. Plus you can buy aftermarket soft Gel seat cushions, that slip right over you seat.
