Mountain Biking Towns

Biking to see the temples of Angkor Wat is a great way to experience the temples. If you have a good level of fitness, you should try cycling to the temples!
The road to Angkor Wat is flat, so in that aspect is fairly easy to bike. But it is quite long. It is 8 km from Angkor Wat, about another 8 km on the circuit, and finally back to 8 kilometers from the city.
Once you are in the Angkor Archaeological Park, there are many indications of the direction to go. So it's easy to find out where the next temple.
Tips for cycling in Angkor Wat
Having biked to Angkor to me same, there are several things, and advice, which I think could make your cycling experience more enjoyable (mine too, if I had this list before).
1. Get the bike
This is probably what saved my life. I used a mountain bike, the one with multiple gears. Furthermore, my bike has a basket on the front where I put my backpack.
2. Get your route to the temple
From Angkor Park is huge, you should note the temples that you want to see. Even if you go by tuktuk, the visit were divided into two: the grand tour, and the small tour of the track (small or large).
With the bike, makes even more sense to prune and be relentless with your choice of temples. It's much better to enjoy leisure temples try to see everything with a body tired.
3. Bring an extra clothes for change
You sweat like never before. In addition to the actual exercise bikes, you have the added factor the sun of Cambodia, famous. Most likely, your top will be totally wet, which could be uncomfortable.
4. Bring enough water
Put just enough, because carrying too many water bottles will make you slow down, and besides, there are plenty of people selling cold water around.
5. Lunch in the park
When people visit the temples of any other type of transportation, often return to Siem Reap for lunch and naps. But since you're cycling, no sense to return to the city, then back after lunch to continue to visit. Well, unless you're really in shape, then by Of course, nothing prevents you.
There are plenty of good places for a relaxing meal in the park.
So in short …
The point of biking to Angkor Wat is to enjoy it and have some fun while doing it. Which is why I believe that a good level of fitness is a necessity.
Besides, I really would not recommend a bicycle for the first time there are visitors of Angkor. There is much to see in its first day, and if you are cycling and making you tired, not be able to enjoy the temples.
Enjoy!
