What numbness in the hands mean? PLEASE HELP!?

My dad has these symptoms every day. He describes it as feeling tingling. He is 58 years old and biking 30 miles a day. You eat healthy and I consider it appropriate. He smokes cigars occasionally, perhaps once every two weeks. No allergies, but he has high blood pressure and is currently taking medication for it. He has been a doctor before … was diagnosed with arthritis, but he thinks otherwise. There is also a type of doctor who specializes in this field? Thanks and 10 points for fast and accurate response! What kind of specialist too?

There are many things it could be. I hate having to press the panic button Lyme, but if you have arthritis and tingling, I definitely boost for testing. Diagnosis of Lyme is very difficult however, because the bacteria do not always appear, so may have to try several times to see if it really does. There is many false negative Lyme scary. (IGenX laboratory is the best but are expensive and have no insurance.) Do you have a heart rhythm problem? This is also a sign of Lyme. I'm no doctor, but I live in an area where Lyme is prevalent, and may have tons of strange symptoms, and arthritis and tingling are symptoms defined. It could also be carpal tunnel syndrome or many other things too. Only a qualified physician or professional can fully assess. Good luck.
