Shimano Biking Shoes
Numb Feet ?
So a friend of mine just bought a Specialized Elite Allez w/56 frame. He is 5’9″ 220lbs. He rides with mallet style pedals on one side, and clip-ins on the other. Shoes are new shimano mountain bike shoes that clip in.
So…the problem is numb feet on the ball of his feet….any ideas as to what the cause is ?….
could it be seat, pinching nerves ?….different combination of shoes/clips ?
Probably just the pressure of pushing on the pedals constantly. I had the same problem with my hands when I was riding. Extra padding MIGHT help but won’t get rid of it.
A less likely possibility is the pinching of nerves from the seat, on the sides of his legs. And yes, even tight shoes/shoelaces.
