Whats the best bike to buy?

im going to be using this in college to take me short and long distances. a lightweight bike would be ideal. since im going to be on a student budget, i need something that doesn’t exceed $500.

Use the Giant brand as a benchmark. They have the reputation as always giving good value for the price.

If you are using the bike as a college commuting machine, make sure that it has the eyelets for racks so you can carry stuff such as books and a laptop. Don’t be tempted to use a backpack. You are better off hanging weight onto the bike that your body.

Invest in a decent lock, less than $20.
