Algebra Homework Help?

Not necessarily want the answer, just the process of figuring out. ********************************* ************************************************** * Harry Gilmore rode his bike the track length of a new bike and then rode an extra 8 km, all in 5h. The next day I took three hours to ride the new bike fair trial. His speed The second day was 1 1 / 2 times the speed of the first day. How long is the bike trail? ****************************************** ************************************************** ** Any help is appreciated. There was considerable problems similar to this for hw, but this is the one I can not get my head around, for some reason …

Distance = Time * Rate Let's say x is the distance from yy bicycle tour is the speed in carrying the first day. Make a system of equations. On the first day, he traveled along the bike trail, more an additional 8 km, so the distance is x + 8. It took five hours to do so at a speed of miles per hour, so x + 8 = 5a. The next day, traveled alone the length of the bike path, which is x. This time, it took three hours while traveling at a speed of 1 1 / 2 times the speed of the first day, which is 1.5y, so x = 3 (1.5y) or 4.5y. Solve by substitution. x + 8 = 5a (4.5y replace x) + 8 = 4.5y 5y 0.5Y 8 = 16 y = x = 4.5y = 4.5 (16) = 72 The bike trail is 72 km long.

In depth road bike – off the bike triathlon

I always wondered what are the major differences between the road bikes and triathlon bikes. The obvious difference is the fact that triathlon races in an aerodynamic position, but sometimes we handlebars on the bike road then what is the real difference? There is a slight difference between the UCI cycling against the clock legal and triathlon bikes, even if they are very similar. The short answer is, road bikes are designed to have three hand positions, triathlon bikes are designed to have one. The that a road bike has clip on aerobars, does not mean it's sort of a bicycle built for this purpose.

Draft legal triathlons are the only area where you use a road bike with aerobars bit much, but positionally speaking, I call them road bikes. They are designed to do everything that a racing bike and does, riders use the aero position for a draft legal triathlon any time.

Time of trial bikes that legal UCI have chairs that are delayed beyond triathlon bikes. The bike is set up so that the pilot must manage effectively in saddle nose (in melee, as they say) to get the balance point for the efforts they produce. The more you pedal, the most forward its balance movements. Since time is a research career in the maximum stress, the most effective position on the point of comfortable in the chair, ensure that only passengers are getting stronger. They do not have to be comfortable and events are rarely more than an hour, which would cares?

Triathlon bikes are designed to be ridden for long distances and at a submaximal rate. This means that the driver puts more weight on the saddle and aerobars because the pedals do not hit enough to stay. As such, the President and bars are in place off the pilot is the most effective or aerodynamics. The reason for distinguishing between two traditional positions triathlon are very far forward to accommodate increased triathlete angle of the hip to allow super aerodynamic position.

My problem with this position is twofold. Firstly, the position is strong and many triathletes cede more power than is produced by pure aerodynamics. Second, the presentation of others are positioned relative to its equilibrium point, front-loading most products in the knees and over-compensation for the quadriceps occurs. This muscle imbalance is poured into the transition and early race.

The perfect triathlon position is where the pilot is so strong and rational as possible, with sufficient comfort to be able to stay in the aerobars throughout the event. That's huge. If you must sit for a career to rest, because the aerodynamic position is not sustainable, you have a problem. It goes slow and you'll be more tired in the race. Remember, however, outweighs the aerodynamic power point, so your best position may not be where you think it is!

Since the position on the bike and putting bike in support of this position are two differences between the definition a road bike and triathlon bike, what with all the tubes in some frames of Aero and round tubes on the other? Some manufacturers advertise speed under their management, are based on wind tunnel testing, but I think there are a lot of hype for most. Here is a basic fact of the trial or triathlon bike that creates the most resistance is the pilot! The frame is in the boundary layer and, as such, does not make a great contribution to aerodynamics as one might think.

The concept of boundary layer is very difficult, I imagine the air right next to you is the speed you are, and at some point your body (and bike), the air is not disrupted. There is a "layer" air that transitions of any change in reality is your speed, and the layer of air molecules touching your skin is done. Things in the middle is the boundary layer. "In my career in industrial design, I remember that designing a framework was on a Boeing 777, and I remember learning boundary layer was 13 mm thick at the location in question. This means that both parties "to the fuselage had virtually no actual harm aerodynamic!

What all this means, a road bike with Aero tube still not be as fast as a bike triathlon with round tubes, assuming that the pilot has a good position! What it means, rest the fork and front wheel has a great impact on the aerodynamics, because they are outside the boundary layer. Some finishes Ironman happen very fast with people riding bikes Triathlon whole tube, but you can bet they are in good position and have good wheels, handlebars and front fork.

In late date, more like a triathlon bike good. First, positioning is the most critical. Second, the large wheels are important. Thirdly, have a good set of aerobars that have integrated levers at the ends bars of rest is important. Then hydration. Marco bottles or jars remains Bar / hydration systems are much better than those who are behind chair. You have to move to come back and get those bottles mounted chair, it is an area that could be successful.

Triathletes are responsible for all aspects of these three disciplines in the sport. The bike is so critical and yet so neglected that it is not surprising misinformation that travel around the transition area. When you're sitting in the refrigerator after a race, and someone says "Brand X" has won 10 Ironman bike, remember, the bike frame has not won the race. The athlete has done, which had the fastest time in the three legs! I hope this is good food for thought and I am happy to answer your questions after reading this.

I do uhave any letter that you live in?

What is mine is "Why cry" by Jay Sean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhxxXiyxQcI Mama was the one who taught me how to ride and the one who taught me to fight Mama was there for me, my mother was when my first day of school would start (Where were you) and the first time I had a broken heart (Where were you) have been when it is most needed you But that's what made me grace, I am so sick of you (why crying) Not a single letter or a call from your hand (why crying) I'm a stronger man now and All Because Of You (Why cry) because I can not wait on You No More I Made It Here Without You So tell me Why should I cry n its hard and had to make mistakes, but if theres something I learned from you not Runaway (Runaway) through thick and thin and tribulations of my life (I will not run) (learn) I Scream Cryyy

Hmmm … I hear lots of music .. I can be referred to the many words … but I do not think theres a song together … but I can def. pieces of a lot. If I had sense. I love this song Tho you have sent, I listened again today, thank's sooo. PS You do not I look as best answer Cuz Im just your contact;)
