walking vs biking weight loss
I've been counting calories and exercising, but nothing has come out – WHY?
I have 32 years and have gained about 45 pounds over the past years. I am a yo-yo dieting – Made all the fad diets, lost 20-30 pounds, then won all back + some. I decided to do it right this time … Am keeping my calories around 1000-1400 per day. Trying to avoid fat, carbohydrate, low sodium, fiber above. The consumption of well-balanced meals – is say, last night was fish and sauteed spinach. Regular exercise – walking, aerobics classes, cycling. I think I'm doing everything right, but the results NO! As three weeks ago. 1 weeks was "into it" (I cheated a little), but two weeks solid in the field. According to calories in calories burned me front (and keep track of everything, every day) that should be losing a steady 2-3 pounds per week. After two weeks, I lost 3 pounds. Got on the scale this morning and nothing. It is very frustrating. Could it be that my body needs something else to toss in the weight loss mode?
The bodies are not machines Coin-operated. Especially the women. If you are making a lifestyle change Resident, why are you asking for results type of yo-yo diet? Take the attitude we do not know what their "ideal weight" and if you treat your body with respect, "finds" for you. Look at your long-term project. A little life long term. Keep doing everything you said, and add an apple or two glasses a day and two or three more water. (Extra fiber and water to move it never hurts.) Use the scale just to make sure is not winning. He was slender and elegant in a year, and remain that way the rest of his life. It can not be good enough goal?

It is a big problem with so many people hit our time. Weight gained after menopause seems to be more difficult to lose. It is very common to gain weight at that time and while some this may be due to changes in lifestyle that does not explain why women suddenly develop a tendency to gain weight in different parts of the body, particularly in the abdomen, while the weight is gained when I was younger tend to be centered on the hips and thighs.
Hormonal changes have a role to play in this area, although the process is not completely understood. In menopause a woman stops ovulating, her monthly periods end menstruation, and your body produces much lower levels of estrogen, which is responsible for the process of ovulation. Estrogen has been shown to cause weight gain in animals and almost certainly the reason for which the female figure bodies change.
Turning the tide of losing unwanted pounds requires strict attention to healthy eating, active living and diligence to keep everything on track. If you do not adjust your eating habits will probably find that your weight increases. 60 A person simply does not need as many calories as a person 40.
Hormone therapy with estrogen is sometimes prescribed to control symptoms of menopause. Many women are surprised to learn that studies have shown that hormone therapy does not cause weight gain. Some women experience bloating and water retention in the early stages of hormone therapy, but is usually temporary and do not gained any fat. Hormone therapy may reduce the risk of heart disease by preventing changes in body fat storage around the abdomen and reduce cholesterol. However, hormone therapy was associated with an increased risk of breast cancer in some studies.
